Anam Cara Bereavement Support Training Day - 12th March 2018 - Letterkenny

Anam Cara Bereavement Support Training Day - 12th March 2018 - Letterkenny

Following a successful Training Day in September 2017, Anam Cara will be facilitating a second one-day workshop for social workers, hospital and public health nurses, counsellors, family support workers, funeral directors, Gardaí and staff from other support groups. The training workshop will again be presented by Brid Carroll and David Trickey on Monday 12th March 2018 at the Radisson Hotel in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.

Anam Cara would consider Brid and David to be the best in their areas. Both have presented at workshops and international conferences. They also supervise and consult to other professionals, helping them to understand how traumatic events and bereavement affect people, and what can be done to help.

The overall purpose of Workshop is to expand the understanding of how family members cope with grief in general and through sudden, traumatic deaths. The aim of the Workshop is to complement each organisation's/professional's expertise in working with parental grief after the death of their child/adult child.
