Twitter launch special 'Pope Emoji' to celebrate @WMOF2018

Twitter launch special 'Pope Emoji' to celebrate @WMOF2018

Twitter have launched a special emoji which activates each time someone shares a tweet using one of our four official hashtags:

#PopeInIreland #PápaInÉirinn #WMOF2018 #FestivalOfFamilies

The emoji will stay live for the WMOF2018 events and will also be available until the end of September.

An emoji is a small digital image or icon used to express an idea or emotion. This is only the third time that Twitter has created a dedicated Pope emoji. They previously launched one for the Pope in Colombia and the Pope in the USA.

If you are using Twitter between now and the conclusion of WMOF2018 [or afterwards] please consider using our official hashtags to activate the emoji and to connect with the @wmof2018 conversation online!!
