PILGRIMAGE TO CROAGH PATRICK (15/07/2012)
The annual National Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick takes place on Sunday July 29. Confessions will be heard on the summit of the mountain continuously from 7.30am to 2.00pm. Mass will be celebrated on the summit every half hour, from 8.00am until 2.00pm. The pilgrimage will be lead by Most Rev. Michael Neary, Archbishop of Tuam, who this year will be joined by the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, His Excellency Most Rev. Charles Brown.
Garland Friday - a local pilgrimage – will be held on Friday July 27. Fr. Tod Nolan will celebrate Mass on the summit at 10.00am. Mass will be celebrated at the base of the mountain in the Murrisk car park at 7.30pm.
