Housekeeper – Leckpatrick Parish

8 hours per week (possibility of extension to 14 hours)

Days and Times to be Agreed

Part Time Temporary 3 month Contract (possibility of extension)

Current Rate of Pay: £9.00 per hour

Role:  To provide housekeeping for parish priest. The Housekeeper will be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of all domestic matters in the priest’s residence.

Main Tasks and Duties

  1. Maintaining the house including dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning, vacuuming, laundry etc.
  2. Provide refreshments to visitors.
  3. Answer the telephone and greet visitors at the door as and when required.
  4. Deal with all enquiries in a discreet and confidential manner.
  5. This is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be requested to undertake other associated duties allocated by the parish priest for the effective and reasonable running of the house.

Essential Criteria

  • Proven house-keeping and cooking experience with an employer or organisation, either in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Ability to work on their own initiative
  • Proven organisational skills

Part Time Permanent Contract

Current Rate of Pay: £8.72 per hour

Main Tasks and Duties

  1. Maintaining the office in an orderly manner.  To include: dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning windows, kitchen, bathroom, toilets and vacuuming.
  2. Act in a courteous and polite way to occupants and visitors.
  3. This is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be requested to undertake other associated duties allocated by Diocesan Staff for the effective and reasonable running of the office.
