World Mission Sunday celebrations take place over the weekend of the 18th of October. The theme Together we can do more – blessed are the peacemakers, reminds us that the Universal Church family is a global community that must stand together if it is to do more. It also recognises overseas missionaries as peacemakers, who like Jesus Christ, emulate love and harmony as they attempt to reunite fragile people from fractured communities, with God and each other.
Throughout October, the Diocese of Derry Mission team are offering a series of presentations on what mission means in today's society. Each presentation is free and will be available online through Zoom. They will consist of a short film, discussion on the topic and a chance to ask questions.

Before entering religious congregation Martina was a BBC political correspondent for around 15 years while Elaine was a practising barrister for 23 years.
